Tips for creating a walk-in wardrobe
When you have a limited entrance space, designing a walk-in closet can seem like a challenge! However, with clever planning and a few design tips , it's possible to create a dressing room that's both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Here are our must-have tips for creating a walk-in dressing room.
1. Look at the available space in your driveway
Don't underestimate the importance of room assessment whenfitting a dressing room in your hallway. This step may seem insignificant, but it's actually essential!
For an efficient layout of your walk-in wardrobe, it is essential to take precise precise measurements to know the dimensions of the space. There are several elements to consider when designing your walk-in closet.
First of all, make sure you take door openings into account, especially the front door and closet doors.
It's also crucial to think about the direction of traffic in the entrance.
Tips: Help yourself to an elevation drawing!

2. Pax Planner or Leroy Merlin Evo'M Configurator
Play with height and mouldings for a harmonious result!
If you have high ceilings, to show off your mouldings to best advantage, consider skipping the high ceilings and installing a PAX box 2m35 high. This will enable you to retain the aesthetic appeal of the moldings while benefiting from functional storage space.
However, if you want to take full advantage of your ceiling height, with Pax, we recommend that youopt for doors of thesame height as the cabinet. In other words, we advise against ordering custom-made door heights higher than the corresponding cabinet height. The upper part of the door would not be fixed, and there would be a risk of warping.
As a result, a made-to-measure box can be added above the 2m35. However, to create a balanced and attractive visual effect, it is preferable that it be at least 50 cm high.
With Evo'M Evo'Mpedestals, you can go all the way to the top, thanks to the different pedestal sizes.
If adding an extra casing isn't possible, then you can opt for a pl asterboard (BA13) or untreated medium casing, painted the same color as the ceiling, to conceal the empty space between the casing and the ceiling, creating visual continuity.

3. Add a bench seat
A dressing room with a bench seat is a clever solution for combining comfort and storage in your hallway. Whether you opt for a built-in or retractable bench, you'll benefit from a practical space for sitting and putting on your shoes.
You can create this bench by choosing either the Besta or Metod tall units, which are 39 cm deep and 40 cm high, or the smaller sizes from Evo'M or Delinia ID. This option allows you to extend your dressing room and benefit from additional storage space.

4. Think decoration
Finally, don't forget to add decorative touches to your dressing room to make it more attractive!
You can choose the right lighting, such as pendant fixtures to create a waterfall effect, or recessed spotlights to evenly illuminate each part of your dressing room and add a touch ofelegance. But that's not all!
A well-positioned mirror can create the illusion of space and reflect natural or artificial light for a brighter, more welcoming ambience.
And, of course, choose the model from our door collection that best suits your entrance. We have 5 shapes and 3 materials (matte lacquer, smooth and brushed wood) available. Plus, you can round off your furniture with our curved sides.

To avoid a block effect with your walk-in wardrobe, one trick is to add a touch of wallpaper. Adding color creates a visual focal point and adds personality to the space.
Tips: Wallpaper can be applied inside dressing room niches or shelves.
You're now armed with all the knowledge you need to design your walk-in wardrobe. So don't hesitate to put these valuable tips into practice and transform your dressing room into a practical, designer space.
