Alix D. Reynis creates objects in Limoges porcelain, as well as jewelry in vermeil and gold. Her delicate creations, which can be worn or placed on the table, bear witness to a genuine know-how and craftsmanship developed between Paris and Limoges. In the course of a few questions, she gives us some illuminating advice on how to brighten up your home.
A daring reconversion
After long studies in law and a few years as a notary, Alix D. Reynis decided to leave everything behind to become a sculptor:
"This career change came after the birth of my fourth child, like a realization. For five years, I devoted myself to sculpture, and eventually returned to the notary's office. By chance, I was offered a position as site manager. I oscillated between two careers, one of the heart and the other of reason. It was in 2011 that I made a definitive switch, and in 2016 that I created my eponymous brand", she explains.
Today, Alix D. Reynis employs a dozen people and designs 10 to 15 collections a year, including collaborations, in keeping with the values she holds dear: craftsmanship, simplicity and beauty combined with utility.

Handmade from start to finish
Alix D. Reynis tableware, lighting fixtures, decorative objects and jewelry are inviting interiors in many different ways.
Her pretty creations soften everyday life, especially in the kitchen, paying homage to the queen of ceramics: Limoges porcelain.
"It was in the basement of my house that I imagined and fired my first plates, hanging baskets and a few scented candles. Then I went from sculptor to modeler, delegating production to a family-run factory in Limoges. Now, I imagine each piece in my studio on rue Jacob: I hand-make the models and molds, which I send to Limoges for production," explains Alix D. Reynis.

All her work explores both collective and intimate memories, giving birth to precious, timeless pieces. In 2015, she moved into jewelry, embracing a style at the crossroads of Eastern and ancient cultures.
The French brand also offers a fine-gold personalization service. Mugs, tumblers, coat hooks, egg cups, jewelry boxes and other everyday objects can be adorned with a first name or a love note.
The best-selling tribute to the passing of time

Alix D. Reynis loves objects with a story. A case in point is the brand's best-seller : the pillbox.
It evokes the little multi-purpose boxes where jewels, medicinal preparations, confectionery and even poisons were hidden!
Its gilded setting, also hand-crafted by one of the last porcelain setters in Limoges, echoes the Louis XVI motif found on the eponymous tableware collection.

- Avoid spotlights in living spaces, which are too cold and aggressive.
- Adopt sconces in the hallway.
- Use walking lamps to illuminate the bedside.
