Maison de céramique, Vessel, when Christmas comes to your table

Maison de céramique, Vessel, when Christmas comes to your table

If you're looking for a touch of poetry and authenticity to dress up your table for this fast-approaching holiday season. Calling on Ornella and Deborah is certainly the right thing to do! Their love for Portuguese ceramics led them both in December 2019 to design Vessel. A 100% artisanal tableware brand that honors this unique and refined know-how. They give us a few tips for a successful Christmas table.

The origins of Vessel : the love at first sight that changed everything !

It all began during a detour on a trip to Portugal, when Deborah suddenly fell under the spell of the country's handicrafts. She decided to share her discovery by offering a few pieces of tableware to her friend. Immediately seduced in her turn, the idea of creating a tableware brand around Portuguese ceramics began to mature in the minds of the two friends. Vessel was born in December 2019.

"Vessel is the association of two friends : Ornella Abouaf, interior designer, and Deborah Reyner Sebag, fashion editor and digital content creator. Two resolutely complementary personalities: Ornella, always on the go, and ready to take on any challenge, and Déborah, refined, with a taste for beautiful things."

Vessel, timeless Portuguese ceramics

The company has a showroom staff of 3 and a factory staff of 4. In addition to the showroom, Vessel organizes various pop-up stores, which change every month, in Paris, beautiful locations, department stores...

The Vessel ceramics house designs extremely lightweight, dishwasher-safe pieces. They can be mixed and matched with all types of crockery, from modern to vintage. To display or not in your kitchen or living room. New shapes, colors and models are launched throughout the year. Finally, in addition to numerous collaborations, Vessel takes great pleasure in creating customized projects.

How has the brand managed to grow ?

"We believed in our project and did everything we could to make it a success. We're very complementary, one more of an Excel spreadsheet, one more of an Instagram, but when it comes to creating the products everything is done in pairs."

The future of Vessel

Vessel's wish is to further develop the brand with new creations, as has already been done with the creation of the Aura sconce.

The Portuguese ceramics house is also planning future collaborations in partnership with restaurants and hotels.

A Vessel with great values

"Pleasure, generosity, simplicity, family, friends, sharing, big tables, endless parties, joie de vivre are the values embodied by Vessel and its creators."

Christmas tableware

The 2022 trends for a successful Christmas table ?

Une table chaleureuse, qui respecte les codes de Noël, sans être premier degré. La superposition, et de la jolie Vessel ! ?

In terms of color, green as ever, caviar gray and Sienna red. At Vessel, caviar and Lisa complete our range.

Ornella and Deborah's tips for successful table decoration

Play with asymmetries and reliefs in the centerpiece. Christmas tables are beautiful when they're full of flowers and warmth. But be careful not to fall into kitsch !

...And how to look after your "Vessel" ?

Rinse in hot water before putting in the dishwasher, and that's it !

All that's left to do is head to Vessel for some of the finest china you've ever tasted ! The most beautiful Christmas table this year will certainly be yours!
