Looking for a designer bathroom ? Our guide to hacking IKEA

You're probably wondering how to choose the right bathroom furniture for your room ?
You have two options :
? Prendre la série Godmorgon chez IKEA
? Prendre la série Metod chez IKEA
The GODMORGON bathroom cabinet
Everything you need to know :
Ikea offers bathroom furniture called Godmorgon in several sizes (60cm, 70cm, 80cm and 100cm wide). These units are made up of 2 drawers, which can be hung or placed on legs, and always come with 2 drawer fronts. It's essential to buy the complete kit, i.e. the whole pedestal, including the IKEA drawer fronts, which you can put away.
You can personalize it with Bocklip fronts, which come with fasteners included to secure them in place.
? Pour les petites salles de bain: robinetterie encastrée avec bâti qui va servir d’étagère et permettre un gain de place au niveau de la vasque.
Benefits
GODMORGON furniture is specially designed for bathroom use, so you won't have to worry about buying fixtures, as everything is supplied directly in the Bocklip 2-drawer set. The 50 cm depth is ideal for a bathroom, and the interior of the drawers offers ample storage space for your needs.

What you need to know !
Bocklip fronts and sides are 19mm thick, so if the sides of your cabinet are visible, you'll need to think about fitting sides by applying them to the existing sides, adding 19mm+19mm to the total width compared to the original cabinet.
With these extra centimetres, IKEA worktops and odensvik washbasins will no longer be compatible, so you'll need to think about a made-to-measure top in waxed concrete , quartz or granite.
If the sides are not visible, you can use threaders to fill the gap between the cabinet and the wall.
Bathroom furniture METOD

If you'd like bathroom furniture in a more customized size (not available in the GODMORGON range), you still have the option of creating your furniture from METOD pedestals.
Originally available for kitchens, these units come in two depths, 39 or 60 cm. A typical bathroom cabinet depth is 50 cm, so you can either opt for a large storage space, or play with space by choosing the 39 cm deep METOD pedestal and moving it forward 10 cm.
In terms of height, the kitchen pedestals of the base units with feet are 88cm high. If we add the thickness of the worktop, we arrive at a height of 92cm. If that's too high, you can always take 60cm-high elements, hang them and integrate 3 drawers 20cm high.
Benefits
The METOD range is one of the most modular, so you can get the bathroom cabinet of your dreams. This can be a practical solution if, for example, you want to hide a built-in washing machine .

However, care must be taken when installing the basin, and it must be offset to avoid having the siphon in the middle of two pedestals.
You'll also need a custom-made worktop, and sides or threaders.
