How to create an arched dressing room over a bed ?

Façades pour PAX ou EVOM
During the Home Tour dedicated to Bérengère Durret on thefitting out a first small apartment. We discovered her perfect mastery of space and, above all, how to create it when you don't have much.
This creative interior designer has found a way around the "little storage" constraint. She has created an optimal solution for storing all your clothes in one place in a small bedroom.
Conceived as a kind of cocoon, the arched dressing room above the bed frames the room, adding relief and creating storage space. A winning combination that will give your room a strong personality.
An arched dressing room over a bed for maximum storage space
You don't have much space in your bedroom? Would you like to create storage space in harmony with your bed?
Creating a niche around the bedincreases storage space by exploiting unused space.
We'll show you how interior designer Bérengère Durret created an arched dressing room. All at a lower cost and with a lot of style, thanks to the Bocklip dressing room solution.
Design
Designing an arched walk-in wardrobe is an inexpensive solution, and quite simple to achieve.
Symmetry in the bedroom is a safe bet. It's a classic that brings reassurance, purity and comfort.
This tidy look appeals to many and gives a cocooned feel to a bedroom.
This design features a closet on the sides of the bed to provide extra storage space without taking up too much of the room.
Creation
Les caissons Pax de chez Ikéa, utilisés pour les penderies, ont un intérieur façon chêne avec des portes battantes de chez Bocklip.
Nota Bene: Ikea only offers sliding doors for 75 cm pedestals. At Bocklip, you can order doors 37.5cm wide.
Bérengère Duret imagined a layout to create the arch by mixing 75cm Pax pedestals (as closets) with Metod pedestals, above the bed, which she brought forward. To do this, she mounted the Metod pedestals on what are known in carpentry as "angle brackets", reinforced with a very large cleat. As a result, the Metod pedestals are flush with the Pax fronts.
The idea is to retain a masonry headboard to place items behind it at wall level, but also to integrate light fittings.
To obtain a special , made-to-measure color and bring this room back to life, Bérengère Durret chose from the NCS color chart, which offers 3,000 different shades.
Pinkish beige was the obvious choice to warm up the room.
The cabinet handles are also from Bocklip in polished brass finish.
This smooth, orderly look will give you peace of mind and a peaceful night's sleep.

Hello,
Very nice result! Does mixing the PAX and METOD boxes only work with the 58cm depth of the PAX boxes?
Hello, you can also build a wooden "ladder" to line the pedestal doors. This will also work for 39cm METOD pedestals and shallow PAX.
Hello, how deep are the PAX housings shown in the photo?
Thank you

Hello,
Is it possible to know the composition please? I mean the size (WxHxD) of the Pax and Metod pedestals please.
The most difficult thing is to have the same door width.
Hi Gaelle, here are 2 PAX cupboards, 75 cm wide, to each of which we applied 2 doors, 37.5 cm wide. Above the bed are METOD pedestals, shallow ( 37cm) and 80cm high. We're here to help. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Hello, if the Pax cupboards are 35 cm deep and the Metod pedestals are 37 cm deep, you have to move the Pax cupboards forward and not the Metod pedestals, don't you? How do I do this? Thanks for your help!
Hello,
You need to move the Pax housings forward to align them with your Metod housings. To do this, we recommend that you use angle brackets. On the other hand, be careful with the Pax finishing sides, which are adapted to the depth of the Pax box, and therefore different from Metod.
