A family story ...

Let's dive into the world of Honoré, a brand a brand steeped in history and passion. At the heart of this adventure is Annick Lestrohan, a designer brimming with inspiration who felt an irrepressible need to express herself. So, in 1985, she founded the Honoré brand in Marseille. Initially specializing in children's and women's clothing, the brand took a new turn in the 2000s:

Indeed, Annick, mother of 5, was proud to see each of her children follow an artistic path. However, her daughter, Ingrid Giribone, longed for another life, far from her hometown. After exploring the field of architecture for three years, she decided to take a gap year in Los Angeles, where she stayed for a year and a half.

"My life wasn't supposed to be in Marseille". Ingrid Giribone

Ingrid finally decided to return to her roots and join the family business in 1989 at the age of 22. A mother-daughter duo was born. But it was only a few years later, after a trip to the souks in Marrakech, that Annick and Ingrid came up with the idea of creating a home decor brand. Starting with a mainly textile offer, the brand has gradually evolved, now offering over 5000 references from furniture to lighting. With Ingrid at the helm, the company now has five employees.

Unique know-how

Honoré places great importance on craftsmanship and strives to convey this in each of its products. They are passionately and meticulously hand crafted by Moroccan Moroccan craftsmen. This approach gives them a unique and authentic character. The brand works closely with its craftsmen, carefully selected by the workshop manager.

The pieces are designed by the craftsmen and then assembled in Honoré's workshops. No technical datasheets are used, as the brand prefers to work on site, developing patterns and sketches with its craftsmen. In this way, the products are the fruit of unrivalled know-how and tradition.

Materials are meticulously selected to compose a unique arrangement in the image of their best-seller: Fauteuil croisette. Indeed, the brand favors the short circuit, using only locally sourced raw materials. As a result, every detail counts, making these products incomparable and rich in meaning.

When creativity meets exclusivity

Always striving to nurture its creativity, Honoré unveils a new collection every year at Maison et Objet. The desire to continually renew itself remains essential for Honoré, in order to offer you unique and singular pieces like their parasol suspension

After a decade since the iconic creation of the Fauteuil croisette, it has become difficult to acquire. This rarity stems from their essentially artisanal manufacturing process. This unique characteristic of their products has played an essential role in the brand's success. Today, Honoré is increasingly sought after by architects and hotels who recognize the value of the unique pieces the brand offers.

Honoré's outdoor decorating tips

1- Take the environment into account

When considering outdoor décor, Honoré encourages you to take into account the environment around you. By carefully observing the décor elements already present, you'll be able to harmonize your outdoor space with your home and its style. If your home has a provincial style, it's best to opt for light colors that blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. You can also choose wooden furniture to create a warm, authentic atmosphere.

2- Dare to use color !

Dare to use color in your outdoor décor and give free rein to your creativity. Don't hesitate to opt for bright, bold hues that will bring a touch of dynamism and cheerfulness to your outdoor space. Among the colors that can liven up your landscaping are yellow and orange, which are very much on trend this summer. The addition of these bold hues can be subtle or more pronounced, depending on your preferences and the mood you wish to create.

3- Add vintage pieces

Another tip from Honoré is to add vintage pieces to your outdoor décor. Whether it's antique furniture, vintage decorative objects or salvaged elements, these unique pieces will bring character and originality to your space. They can tell a story and add a sense of authenticity to your layout.

4- Green up and brighten up your exterior

To breathe vitality into your outdoor space, Ingrid recommends adding plant elements such as grasses for a light, volatile feel, or easy-care cacti for a touch of the southern Mediterranean (Italy, Spain, Greece, Morocco, etc.).

Tips Climbing plants can also be used to cover walls, adding a vertical dimension to your decor.

When it comes to outdoor lighting, Honoré's Eldorado outdoor pendant is an ideal choice. It provides elegant, functional lighting. Its meticulous design and quality finish make it a decorative element in its own right. You can install it above a garden table, on a terrace or in a cosy corner to create a warm atmosphere on summer evenings.

5- Regularly maintain your outdoor furniture

The Honoré brand places great emphasis on the importance of maintaining outdoor furniture. Although designed for outdoor use, it's essential to take good care of your furniture if you want to preserve it over time. Annual maintenance is recommended to maintain their aesthetic appearance and ensure their durability. It's also advisable to protect your furniture during periods of bad weather or in winter by storing it in a covered space. This will prevent damage caused by the more difficult climatic conditions.

Maintain your outdoor furniture to keep it looking good and ensuring its durability.

In short, Honoré embodies creativity, quality and craftsmanship in every one of its creations. By offering customizable furniture, the brand gives you the opportunity to transform your home with unique products !
