The origins of the Wild World...
Meet the Brand's Creator : Béatrice Laval

Béatrice Laval is a woman with a passion for decoration. After spending her childhood in the mountains and training as an architect, she joined the family business, and fifteen years later found herself at its head. Béatrice confides to us that she has learned every aspect of her profession by passing through every position in the company !
/
"My mission today is to turn a company born in 1970 into a decorating brand with an identifiable style that defies codes and trends and fights against the standardization of decorative proposals."
Highlights
Béatrice Laval's work is a source of many emotions and happy memories. Among these, one of the most precious to her is undoubtedly her commitment to La Maison des femmes. Located in Saint-Denis, La Maison des Femmes is a shelter for women in difficulty or victims of violence. Thanks to her action, donations have been raised three years running to support this noble cause.
Culinary aside
At Bocklip, we design a lot of cuisine, so as a quick aside, what's your favorite recipe to cook ?
Béatrice Laval's favorite recipe is her grandmother's apple pie. A simple, effective and delicious recipe ! "Be careful, only make it when you're not on a diet !" she adds !

Ingredients :
- 250 g flour
- 125 g butter
- 1 egg
- The bottom of a glass of water
- 5 Golden apples
- 2 tablespoons Cristal sugar
Directed by :
- Leave the butter at room temperature, out of the fridge, for two hours to soften.
- Pour the flour, softened butter and egg into a bowl.
- Knead the dough with your fingertips to integrate all the butter (the secret lies in the finesse of the gesture: don't knead the dough with the palm of your hand, or for too long).
- Form the dough into a ball (always carefully!); if necessary, add a little water. Leave to rest for an hour.
- Flour the work surface and roll out the dough to line the tin. Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Peel the apples and arrange them in thin strips on the pastry. Sprinkle with Cristal sugar (the kind used for jams), which will caramelize the apples on top (forget the powdered sugar).
- Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.

The uniqueness of Le Monde Sauvage products lies in their uniqueness. Béatrice Laval designs interior products and fabrics based on the encounters, desires and needs of her customers. She doesn't follow the trend of seasonal collections and perpetual renewal. Instead, she seeks to offer the right products that last over time and adapt to different moments in life.

Linen : the brand's best-seller
Flax is undoubtedly the best-seller of the Le Monde Sauvage brand, and no wonder, given its many virtues !
It's an eco-responsible material, very strong and made from fibers of French origin. What's more, it's produced in a short circuit, reducing distances traveled and CO2 emissions.
But the benefits don't stop there, as it also has thermoregulating properties that make it perfect for sleepwear or blankets. At Le Monde Sauvage, the "Respire" range includes all linen products, from bed linen to curtains and tablecloths.
Whether you're looking to sleep in the freshness of linen or add a touch of elegance to your home with an embossed linen plaid, there's bound to be a product to suit your needs !

The trendy color of 2023 ? Trust your mood
Béatrice Laval doesn't believe in a "trend" color for 2023. According to her, each individual has his or her own aspirations and preferences when it comes to interior design.
"I have only one piece of advice : follow your mood and compose a short range (three colors maximum), including a contrasting one, to compose your space."
Fabric : an important element in any interior
How to choose your interior cushions ?
"The cushions are like a bouquet of flowers".
Choosing your cushions may seem simple, but it's actually an art that requires both boldness and wisdom. To succeed in this exercise, it's important to mix sizes and shapes while avoiding symmetry. According to Béatrice, the ideal is to choose a short range of cushions in odd numbers, to create an interesting visual effect by arranging them differently on the support. It's also important to look for reminders in other elements of the room to create visual harmony. Finally, the choice of materials is crucial to create a cameo of textures.
Interior fabrics come in a variety of "objects" : cushions, rugs, curtains. How do you coordinate them all in a room ?
While some prefer the "matching suit" style, Béatrice Laval favors a freer approach, deciding on a range of colors and working on color echoes. The most important thing is to listen to your desires and preferences, without getting carried away," she confides. You have to trust yourself and not be afraid to dare, because when it comes to decorating, nothing is really serious!
What fabric would you recommend for a kitchen ?
"Pleasing yourself also means making everyday life exceptional.
To bring a touch of charm and comfort to your kitchen, there's nothing like a beautiful fabric tablecloth, preferably linen. This natural material is easy to care for, requires no ironing and is stain-resistant. Curtains are another decorative element not to be overlooked in the kitchen. Béatrice again recommends linen curtains, which are easy to wash and add a touch of elegance to the space.
In very practical terms, what are your recommendations for good cushion care ?
The care of cushions is an important aspect of their longevity. Béatrice recommends simply referring to the care label for specific instructions for each type of cushion.

With its recognizable style, commitment to fighting standardization and boundless creativity, Le Monde Sauvage promises an interior that's sure to amaze !
